Wyomings History dates back 12,000 years ago.Touasnd of years later Native American tribes including the chenney, crow, and ute.Wyoming was acquired by the U.S in 1803 by the Lousiana Purchase. A small corner of Wyoming still remaind part of Utah until the creation of Wyoming territory in 1868. In 1890 Wyoming became the 44th state on July 10. Members of the Shoshone and Arapaho tribes still live in Wyoming today.
